Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) operates 12 television channels in Asia that offer the very best in music, kids, comedy and family programming through its MTV, MTV Live, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and Comedy Central brands, seen in over 96 million households via 24-hour feeds and free-to-air Nickelodeon-branded blocks.

Syahrizan Mansor is responsible for all of Viacom International Media Networks’ (VIMN) programming and on-air promotions for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. in the region. Her experience in identifying viewer preferences and trends has resulted in significant increases in demand and ratings, and in close partnership with all Nickelodeon branded block licensees, Syahrizan advises on programming, acquisitions, scheduling and launch plans for new properties.

Syahrizan is also charged with leading the channels’ localization strategies. She oversaw the production of Passport Around Asia, which won gold for Best Holiday/Seasonal Promo at the PromaxBDA 2012 Asia Awards. She acquired CingkusBlues from Third Rock Creation and headed up the development of Akis by Inspidea, both of which were original Malaysian animated series that aired in 2012. In 2009, Syahrizan launched ChinaToon, a one-hour branded block showcasing original Chinese animated shows. In the past, she has worked with production houses to develop locally-produced shows including Tao Shu, the Warrior Boy and Tomato Twins by Peach Blossom Media and Right on Top by Earthtree.

Syahrizan was recently singled out as one of a dozen 30-something leaders making the biggest difference to tomorrow’s media industry in ContentAsia’s “Fabulous... & Under 40” feature. And she was also listed in the same publication’s “Creative Top 20” special showcasing the people making, shaping and driving channel creative and promotions.

Syahrizan has been with Nickelodeon for 12 years and is currently based in Singapore. Prior to VIMN, she was Senior Programming Executive at MediaCorp TV12.
